This is actually about something I noticed a while back, but simply haven't found the time to blog about. Yay hectic schedules! Haha. Anyways, several weeks back (February 12th, 13th, and 14th to be specific), I was part of a production of Shakespeare's The Tempest at my school. I was an actor, as well as Assistant Student Director. As well as being a lot of stress, it was quite a lot of fun. For the first time I got flowers for a production, which I thought was quite nice.
My friend and fellow cast member, Andrea, gave me a beautiful orange rose.
My parents gave me a sparkly red rose.
And The Calhouns, a couple from church, gave me a bouquet of purple, pink, and white daisies.
As I said, I was excited. When I got home I immediately put them in water, hoping they would last a while. The order in which they lasted intriqued me.
The first to die was the orange rose, given from a friend.
The second was the red rose, give from family.
And the daisies from the church couple have yet to go. They're still upstairs in my kitchen.
I thought the order was kind of interesting. Friend and Family died out first, but God's still there. I don't know....I thought it was kind of cool. I think God kind of sent it as a little reminder to me that my friends and even my family may betray me or leave me, but he'll always be there.
"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:20
Peace and Love,
Danielle.
